Help build beautiful, healthy, active communities throughout Sullivan County.

Since our beginning, Sullivan Renaissance has been dedicated to building beautiful, healthy and active communities. Our program is rooted in transformation through beautification, community development and grassroots engagement. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our work.

The Sullivan Renaissance Volunteer Corps offers valuable support to our work and the success of community projects. Members serve as ambassadors and volunteers to help with a variety of projects. Here are some of the ways that Volunteer Corps members make a difference:

  • Helping with public gardening projects that transform spaces and bring neighbors together
  • Leading activities for youth in seasonal camps that teach environmental stewardship and instill pride
  • Offering Spanish / English translation at community events to promote inclusivity and grow participation
  • Helping in edible gardens that offer healthy, accessible food to schools and communities

Getting involved is easy! Through the use of an online signup program, volunteers choose from a list of pre-scheduled activities based on individual availability and interests. Opportunity areas currently include:

  • Gardening and Community Beautification
  • Outreach and Publicity
  • Education
  • Organizational Development
  • Multicultural Outreach
  • Program and Event Support
