Sullivan Renaissance partners with NYSERDA
A special $5000 Showing of Flowers Award will be bestowed on the Renaissance group with the best overall flowers. Four additional $1,000 “Judges Choice” awards will also be given out at the awards ceremony. The team of judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.
Grants up to $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that interpret local history, or incorporate a historic issue and/or element in their project. The judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.
Grants of $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that demonstrate best practices in maintenance, appropriate use of plants and materials, etc. in their project. The judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.
Grants of $1000 may be awarded to Renaissance communities that include environmental stewardship and/or address an important environmental issue. The judges will make their determination after visiting the project sites.
A limited number of internships are available for young people ages 16-20 years old. “Change is a Relay” Youth Development and Internship Program is administered in collaboration with the Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development (CWD). This program consists of two parts:

The Sullivan County Community College Foundation awards scholarships to a youth or adult involved in a Renaissance project in their community, who is or will be attending SCCC. Deadline: July 15. Please call 845-295-2445 for details.
In partnership with the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan counties, a limited number of scholarships to the college of one’s choice will go to volunteers who make a significant contribution to a Renaissance project. Deadline: August 2. Please call 845-295-2445 for details.
Co-sponsored with the Sullivan County Board of Realtors, this program recognizes homeowners and businesses in Sullivan County that improve their property in ways that enhance their community. Sullivan Renaissance gives a special $2000 grant to recognize the best municipal or public building project.
