Join the Sullivan Renaissance Volunteer Corps

Sullivan Renaissance will kick off an exciting season of grassroots community engagement with its first Volunteer Corps Orientation on Wednesday, April 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the CVI Building at 165 Sullivan Avenue in Ferndale. Anyone interested in getting involved is invited to attend.

The Sullivan Renaissance Volunteer Corps is a group of volunteers who offer assistance to a variety of community beautification projects and Sullivan Renaissance initiatives. Corps members commit to completing at least eight volunteer hours between April and mid-October. Opportunities include gardening, teaching, outreach, program support and more. Volunteer Corps members receive regular opportunity notifications and sign-up to participate based on their interests and availability.

“I could have never envisioned my volunteer experience providing so much to me when I was looking to contribute to the community,” says returning Volunteer Corps member Anne-Louise Scandariato. “I signed up because I wanted to learn more about gardening, help beautify the community and meet new people. But the memories created are irreplaceable. The satisfaction in seeing others appreciate and value the volunteers’ efforts is priceless.”

The orientation is an opportunity to learn more about Sullivan Renaissance and ways to get involved. Pre-registration is requested and refreshments will be served.
