GET READY TO RENAISSANCE

Grants and other resources for community beautification

December 18, 2017

[FERNDALE] – Get Ready to Renaissance!  Organizations, businesses, churches, schools or individuals interested in beautifying their location, main street or town are invited to attend a free seminar on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 6pm at CVI in Liberty.  Whether you are considering installing new welcome or directional signs, planting street trees, creating a park or adding hanging baskets and containers to your storefront or Main Street, this seminar is for you. Information about Sullivan Renaissance grant opportunities, grant requirements, and resources will be shared.

Sullivan Renaissance offers several grant opportunities ranging from mini grants for beginning efforts to community beautification for more involved community wide work.  Other grant categories include business assistance, technical assistance, healthy community initiatives and multicultural outreach.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear from other projects in the community and meet with Sullivan Renaissance staff to discuss ideas and funding opportunities. Youth between the ages of 16 and 20 encouraged to attend to network with community volunteers and explore potential summer employment.

Pre-registration is requested at SullivanRenaissance.org or by calling the office at 845-295-2445.  Event details can also be found on the Sullivan Renaissance Facebook page.

Sullivan Renaissance is a beautification and community development program principally funded by the Gerry Foundation.
