[FERNDALE] – The Sullivan Renaissance Spring Market and Annual Conference at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts promises to be an informative and inspiring weekend of notable speakers, workshops, a wide selection of garden and artisan products.
FRIDAY, APRIL 27th: AN EVENING WITH DR. FUHRMAN:
Sullivan Renaissance and Sullivan 180 welcome Dr. Joel Fuhrman – renowned family physician and author who has appeared on Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, and PBS. Dr. Fuhrman will talk about “Eating Your Way to Better Health – Good Nutrition: A Powerful Tool to Prevent and Reverse Disease”. He will provide tips on how making small adjustments to the types of foods you eat can help you achieve and maintain weight loss, reverse heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses using smart nutrition. Doors open at 4:30 PM. A reception and book signing will follow. Seating is limited; registration is suggested.
SATURDAY, APRIL 28th: SULLIVAN RENAISSANCE SPRING MARKET & ANNUAL CONFERENCE:
Sullivan Renaissance welcomes you back to Bethel Woods on Saturday for the Spring Market and Annual Conference. Celebrate the love of the place we all call home! The day kicks off at 9:00 am in the Event Gallery. Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther will recognize the county’s municipalities and their efforts to shape Sullivan.
The Conference Keynote “Love Where You Live” will be delivered by award-winning author and development strategist, Peter Kageyama. Peter will present on bottom-up community revitalization and the amazing people who make change happen, practical steps to building networks, and finding your community’s authentic identity. His presentation will enlighten a varied audience from government leadership, to community planners, arts or cultural directors, entrepreneurs, educators, and citizens who want to improve their community. A book signing will follow. Seating is limited; registration is suggested.
The Spring Market will be open throughout the day from 10:30 am – 4:00 pm. Shop a variety artisan vendors and local nurseries. From baked goods, to homemade soaps and handmade jewelry, hanging baskets, succulents, florals and more, there will be something for everyone. Walk the grounds, take some yoga and breathe in the views of Bethel Woods. Free health screenings will also be available all day compliments of Catskill Regional Medical Center and Sullivan County Public Health.
