Become a Sullivan 180 Community Health Champion

Sullivan 180 Community Health Champions are local volunteers who commit to serving as healthy-living champions, coaches, and leaders for friends, neighbors, and colleagues ready to improve their health.

They work in various areas to offer a grassroots, all-inclusive approach to health that unites the entire community, including those whose voice is often underrepresented.

They have committed to promoting health and wellness in their community groups, neighborhoods, churches, schools, worksites, and/or civic organizations.

A Community Health Champion volunteer can also form and lead a Sullivan Club 180, which can be any group that identifies its own healthy living activity, such as running/walking groups, smoking cessation, meetings to share healthy meals and recipes, or starting a yoga class.

Community Health Champions offer peer support and motivation for those who want to take proactive steps in improving their health and lives, and assist in various volunteer projects.

What Our Community Health Champions Are Saying

“Thank you Sullivan 180, for the breadth of programs you provide. I know me and my family have benefitted from our participation.”

— Hope Blecher, Sullivan 180 Community Health Champion

“If I can help one person make connections that will benefit their mental or physical health, then I feel like a true Community Health Champion. I wanted to establish connections in my community that will benefit my friends, family, and neighbors.”

— Tialisa Whipple, Community Health Champion

“When one thinks of health, one thinks only of nutrition, but it encompasses physical, environmental, social, educational, mental, and spiritual. And The Fun Group does it all. When one works with children, especially in the area of health, the entire family is impacted.”

— Denise Patti, Community Health Champion and Fun Group Club 180
